Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the LingualShift mobile application operated by Athletic Progression LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using LingualShift, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

LingualShift is an AI-powered writing app, powered by Anthropic's Claude API, that:

• Converts text between formal and casual (slang) language registers across 50+ languages ("Translate")
• Rewrites text for a specific situation, such as a professional email, legal document, or plain-language explanation ("Context Shift")
• Summarizes pasted text or an uploaded PDF into key points ("Summarize")
• Applies your saved preferred terms to results ("Custom Glossary," Pro only)
• Displays a new slang term each week, viewable in the App or a Home Screen widget ("Slang of the Week")

3. User Accounts

You must sign in with an Apple ID to use LingualShift, or continue as a guest with limited functionality. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may not use another person's account without permission.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Free Tier: 5 actions per day at no charge, shared across Translate, Context Shift, and Summarize.

Pro Subscriptions: Available as Weekly ($2.99/week), Monthly ($9.99/month), or Annual ($49.99/year) plans. The Annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Pro includes unlimited Translate, Context Shift, and Summarize; history sync; Custom Glossary; and guaranteed access to the service even during periods of high demand.

Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

Free Trial: The 7-day free trial is available to new Annual subscribers only. You will be charged $49.99 at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LingualShift to:

• Submit or upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or abusive
• Upload a document you do not have the right to share, or that contains another person's sensitive personal information without their consent
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent usage limits
• Use automated tools to make bulk requests
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

6. Intellectual Property

LingualShift and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Athletic Progression LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

LingualShift is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated translations, context rewrites, or summaries. Results may contain errors and should not be relied upon for legal, medical, or other professional purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Athletic Progression LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on any translation, context rewrite, or summary provided.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings screen in the App.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
