How accurate are the results?

LingualShift uses Anthropic's Claude AI for Translate, Context Shift, and Summarize. Results are generally excellent but AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, or safety-critical purposes.

What is Context Shift?

Context Shift rewrites your text for a specific situation instead of just slang ↔ formal — pick from 10 presets including Professional Email, Legal Document, ELI5, Academic, Marketing Copy, Diplomatic & Tactful, Direct & Concise, Customer Support, Explain to a Patient, and Job Interview.

What is Summarize, and how does PDF upload work?

Summarize gives you the gist and key points of any text. Paste text directly, or (Pro) upload a PDF and LingualShift will extract and summarize its content. Uploaded PDF files are not stored — only the resulting summary is saved to your history.

How does Custom Glossary work? PRO

Add terms you want translated a specific way — names, brand terms, industry jargon — and LingualShift will apply them consistently across your results. Manage your glossary from Settings → Custom Glossary.

How do I add the Home Screen widget?

• Long-press an empty area of your Home Screen
• Tap the + button in the top-left corner
• Search for "LingualShift"
• Choose the Slang of the Week widget and tap Add Widget

How do I cancel my subscription?

• Open iPhone Settings
• Tap your Apple ID at the top
• Tap Subscriptions
• Tap LingualShift
• Tap Cancel Subscription

Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore my purchases?

Open LingualShift → Settings → Subscription → tap "Restore purchases." Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How do I delete my account?

Open LingualShift → Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete account." This permanently deletes your account and all history. This action cannot be undone.

What's my daily limit on the free plan?

The free tier includes 5 actions per day, shared across Translate, Context Shift, and Summarize. Limits reset at midnight UTC. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited use of all three.

What languages are supported?

LingualShift supports 50+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, and many more.

Is my data private?

Yes. Text and documents you submit are sent to Anthropic's API for processing only — not stored by Anthropic or used for training. Your history is stored securely in our database, and you can delete all your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

I found a bug — how do I report it?
