Privacy Policy

Athletic Progression LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the LingualShift mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App, including Translate, Context Shift, Summarize, and Custom Glossary.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address.

Content You Submit: Text you submit to Translate, Context Shift, or Summarize is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. We store the resulting history in our secure database (Supabase) to provide the history and sync features.

Documents You Upload: Pro subscribers can upload a PDF to Summarize. The document's text content is extracted on your device and sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a summary. We do not retain the uploaded PDF file itself — only the resulting summary text is saved to your history, subject to the same retention described below.

Custom Glossary: If you create Custom Glossary entries (Pro feature), the terms and your preferred translations are stored in our secure database, tied to your account, so they can be applied to your future results.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including daily action count across Translate, Context Shift, and Summarize, selected languages, and subscription status.

Purchase Information: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never your payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve Translate, Context Shift, Summarize, and Custom Glossary
To manage your account and subscription
To enforce daily usage limits on free and guest accounts
To sync your history across sessions
To display the current Slang of the Week term in the app and Home Screen widget
To respond to support requests

3. Third-Party Services

Anthropic Claude API: Text and document content you submit is sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic does not store your content or use it for model training per their API Terms of Service. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database storage. Your data is stored securely with row-level security enforced. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Apple: Sign In with Apple and in-app purchases are handled by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Home Screen Widget

The LingualShift Home Screen widget displays the current Slang of the Week term. It does not require you to be signed in and does not access your account, history, or any personal data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data, history, and Custom Glossary entries for as long as your account is active. Uploaded PDF files are not retained after a summary is generated. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings screen in the App. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level database security, and secure authentication via Apple Sign In. We never store payment information.

7. Children's Privacy

LingualShift is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

Access: You can view your history within the App
Deletion: You can delete your account and all data via Settings → Delete Account
Portability: You can export history via the share feature

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
